90's & 2000's Music
90's and 2000's
When selecting current and popular hits to play at your function, we at Marx Rolling Dance Revue feel we hold a certain amount of responsibility to the person(s) contracting our services as well as to the guests at the function. We do not play hardcore heavy metal or hardcore rap at any of our shows due to the content of the lyrics. We also will not play any music that contains subversive themes towards sexual acts, violence, or race.
We strongly feel that the integrity and reputation of being the area’s largest professional Disc Jockey Service since 1979 is more important to uphold than to play songs that may offend your guests. With this in mind, our Disc Jockeys carry a wide variety of current and popular hits that guests will easily recognize. As a rule of thumb, songs that have been in weekly top 40 radio programs or in music industry magazines are acceptable to play at shows. Our DJs have CD subscriptions through recording companies that pool together new songs from major artists and mail them to the DJs months before public release. That means if you just heard a new song on the radio that you like we have probably had it in our library for two months!
The music information in this guide is meant to give a sampling of helpful suggestions based on which songs are successful week after week at various functions. We do not format each show down to the exact order each song is played at a specific time. However, we do factor in your suggestions, likes, dislikes, crowd requests, and how well the crowd is responding to what we are playing.
Thank you for taking the time to read this music selection guide. We look forward to performing for your special event. |
